Creative Allies leveraged its social media and the band’s social media to drive fans and designers to view the contest page for this engagement.
In addition to the cash prize, the Grand Prize Winner received a special prize pack including a limited edition vinyl of the band’s first album.
Designing For Legends
One of the greatest rock & roll bands of ALL time, Guns N’ Roses reached out to the Creative Allies community for an exclusive commemorative poster.
The band’s debut album, Appetite for Destruction was released on July 21, 1987. With 30 million copies sold worldwide and hits like “Welcome to the Jungle”, “Nightrain”, “Paradise City” and “Sweet Child O’ Mine”, it is viewed as one of the greatest and best-selling records of ALL TIME.
With the recent release of the Appetite For Destruction: Locked N’ Loaded box set,it was time to design a poster that celebrates the rock & roll greatness of this legendary album!
We received almost 400 amazing, original designs and it was tough for the band to pick just one Grand Prize Winner.
Cool Prizes To Increase Fan Engagement
Creative Allies always looks for ways to keep our community engaged throughout the design contest. For this campaign, we recommended selected weekly prize winners, which encourages our community to submit multiple designs to the competition and increases their chances of winning.
At the end of every week of this contest, one weekly winner was chosen as an Honorable Mention to receive an Appetite For Destruction – 2LP Vinyl + Cassette! These winners were still eligible for the grand prize.
