Design a Poster for Robert Glasper Experiment's New Album 'Black Radio'
Due Date:December 29, 2011
![]() One Overall Winner will receive $500 and a Robert Glasper Experiment prize pack.
Robert Glasper Experiment are looking for a commemorative poster for the release of the upcoming album, Black Radio. Design a poster with your own artistic interpretation of the theme of a black radio/black box flight recorder as it relates to music and art. A black radio (also called black box) is a device that is designed to survive a plane crash with an intact recording of the plane's flight. Like a black radio that survives when everything else on the plane has been destroyed, the album "Black Radio" is a preservation of quality and integrity in a world where mainstream music has been devalued or destroyed. Your original design or illustration should speak to the concept of preserving quality/artistry/talent/integrity among bleakness and destruction. Do not picture an AM/FM radio or boombox. Robert Glasper Experiment is the electric band of GRAMMY-nominated keyboardist Robert Glasper. Black Radio, set for release on February 28, 2012 by Blue Note Records/EMI, is a genre-bending future landmark album that features a jaw-dropping array of guest musicians from across the musical spectrum, including Erykah Badu, Bilal, Lupe Fiasco, Lalah Hathaway, Shafiq Husayn (Sa-Ra), KING, Ledisi, Chrisette Michele, Mos Def, Musiq Soulchild, Meshell Ndegeocello and Stokley Williams (Mint Condition).
