"The Sound Of Everything" Poster Art Contest For The Band Thousands
Due Date:May 10, 2011
The winning designer will receive $400 and a copy of The Sound of Everything.
What does the Sound of Everything Look Like? Thousands is looking for an original poster to celebrate their new album, The Sound of Everything. The album was recorded in abandoned barns, forgotten silos, stairwells and state parks in the Pacific Northwest to achieve a raw, organic sound. Thousands sought to incorporate the sound of barking dogs, crows flying nearby and wind rustling through the leaves into their songs. In turn, the band took extreme efforts to keep out the sounds of humankind. The acoustic duo recorded each song live with just one take. There is also no post-production on the entire album. How do you visually interpret the sound of everything? Create illustrated poster art that captures the spirit of the outdoor recording style of Thousands' The Sound of Everything.
