Poster 11x17 in. Specs

Your file should be 11" x 17" and have a minimum resolution of 200 dpi
Accepted file formats: .JPG, .JPEG, .TIF, .TIFF, .EPS
.TIFF (or .TIF) formats should be flattened
.EPS formats must have all type converted to vector paths (traced or outlined)

The Nova Echo is a gut shot of synth-driven electro-rock full of catchy, uplifting hooks wrapped in a dreamy sci-fi aesthetic. Frontman/songwriter Caleb Hanks and producer Evan Bradford have created a sound that's both hauntingly beautiful and delivered with a blistering rock energy. And they've done it with total artistic independence from a basement studio in Asheville, North Carolina.

The band's 2009 full-length album The Nova Echo and the 2010 Voyager EP (free for download here) loosely follow the story of a lonely space traveler longing for his true love across the vastness of space. Through the Nova Echo, frontman Hanks (AKA "The Clerk") is weaving together these narrative strands with a consistent visual aesthetic to create an ongoing, epic science fiction mythology.

For their first-ever project with the Creative Allies community, the Nova Echo want to have some fun and expand on their love for sci-fi. Reference imagery from classic sci-fi films to create original poster art for the Nova Echo. Reimagine the band as Watchmen, stage the group in a Hoth snow cave or enter the Clerk in a light-cycle race from Tron. It's up to you, so let your imagination run wild!

Design Do's:

Create a poster for the Nova Echo that incorporates imagery from classic science fiction films in an original, compelling and non-copyright infringing way
Include the text "The Nova Echo"
You may, but are not required to use images of the band. Support Files are included for inspiration or as a starting point for illustration
Draw inspiration from the band's music (free for download here)
