Logo Specs

  • Your file should be 8" x 8" and have a minimum resolution of 200 dpi
  • Accepted file formats: .JPG, .JPEG, .TIF, .TIFF, .EPS
  • .TIFF (or .TIF) formats should be flattened
  • .EPS formats must have all type converted to vector paths (traced or outlined)
  • RGB colorspace only
  • Max file size is 60mb

 

Umphrey's McGee 2011 Logo Design Contest

 

Chicago-based rockers Umphrey's McGee are seeking a new logo/theme for 2011 with the help of the Creative Allies art community. The genre-spanning and barrier busting sextet seeks a visual interpretation of their name that represents the musically muscular and relentlessly inventive sound the band has cultivated both live and in the studio over the past 12 years. 

 

Though many logos, images and fonts have represented Umphrey’s McGee over the years, the band has long looked for a singular image that will represent them effectively, and stand the test of time.  The winning design will showcase the Umphrey's McGee name, and/or "UM," the common abbreviated rendition, in a bold, rock n' roll, recognizable fashion, in a format suitable for branding merchandising, tour marketing materials, and various uses the band may see as fit.

The winning artist will receive $200 licensing fee, 2 VIP passes to any (non-festival) Umphrey's McGee show on our fall 2010 tour, as well as any merchandise printed with the winning logo.

 

All submissions must be uploaded by midnight on Friday, September 17th.
